First off, let’s just get this out of the way: if you thought wearing a tiara was the beginning and end all of all your childhood dreams, it’s okay. We still have the photos to prove that we’ve been there too.
But besides the whole “always be honest, kind and handle situations with positive princess grace” life lessons, we feel it’s time break the fairytale princess mould! We like you with or without glitter!
1. Having a prince doesn’t make you a princess.

This is where all the single ladies put their hands up. It seems pretty cool to sing to animals all day about prince charming, but after your 15th chirpy tune, it’s kinda boring to say the least. There’s so much more out there.
So you do you, with OR without a prince.
2. You don’t have to have hair like Rapunzel to let it down

“Girl, put your records on, tell me your favourite song.” and rock your short hair and bangs. And if you do have long locks, we’re here to tell you that you look great with it in a ponytail too!
3. It’s okay not to like pink

You probably have a few reminders of your Pink Phase (we’ve all been there) hiding away in the very top of your cupboard. But now, it’s really okay if you can’t stand it, black princess.
4. You don’t have to be a cat person either

If you’re not into the whole “I’m a princess and I have a cat” thing (because cats can be so darn unpredictable and mean and stuff) it’s perfectly normal to hog your dog like it’s your grown-up soft toy. Or your Iguana.
5. You don’t have to have a cupboard overflowing with sparkly dresses

Sweatpants. Chill. No makeup. Now that’s a day suitable for a princess. You’re fricken awesome regardless of what you wear, misses comfy-leggings-for-pants-all-day.
6. You don’t need to fit a princess profile

If you don’t feel like you fit those “Which Disney Princess are you?” quiz answers AT ALL. No worries, You’re unique in every way, so that’s actually expected! You Princess YOU.
