Who even gives people boot-wearing hacks? WE DO. Here are 9 tips to help you slay any type of boot style this entire winter, like a freakin sled dog. Okay sorry, that’s lame. But at least our tips aren’t.

> THE FRINGED ANKLE BOOT
TIP 1: You know what goes really well with a neutral fringed ankle boot? A pair of faded ripped jeans. The effect: you being casually stylish as fudge.
TIP 2: This WINTER seems to be all about an AUTUMN-inspired look (how even?), so that means colours like olive green and burgundy fit in perfectly with those autumn leaf coloured boots of yours.
TIP 3: And you know what fits in perfectly on top of that? Throwing on a suede Sherpa lined jacket. You look COOL, but you feel WARM (totally hacking fashion right now).
> THE CLASSIC BLACK LACE UP
TIP 4: I’m sorry, but Black IS the new black. End of story. You can style these bad boys with a pair of light skinny jeans to bring out the exceptional blackness of your soles (no, I was not referring to your soul, but if you feel that way, go ahead and match it with your soul).
TIP 5: Wear a button-up shirt for an effortless (but we all know how long it takes to find THAT button up shirt in Mr. Price’s sale section) look.
TIP 6: Just throw on a dark jacket or blazer with your laced-up black boots for an instant night look. Boommm.
> THE COMBAT BOOT
TIP 7: Pair your combat boots with patterned tights (we used gym tights!) and then something minimalistic like a white, off-the-shoulder shirt.
THE DERBY SHOE
TIP 8: Team up your derby’s with a pair of black jeans and almost any shade of grey on top, Just add a leather type jacket to get that yaaasss-boy/girl! look.
You can rock this outfit day and night (especially for camouflage purposes after sunset).
Just throw on a cardigan underneath for those extra chilly days or weeks (thank you Cape Town for your soppy bouts of non-stop rain).
THE EMBELLISHED ANKLE BOOT
TIP 9: You can have some serious fun pairing those embellished boots of yours with a detailed cardigan (with kind of the same colour pallet as the boot embellishment) and a neutral button up shirt, just to prevent awesomeness overload.
